What you really wanted to know about Peeps, the Community asked
Peeps is arriving very fast to reshape the Creator Economy and the Social Media world. Backed by Polygon, we had the honor and happiness to share about our project with their team on Twitter Space.
During this occasion, we also asked our community on Discord to ask their questions. We’re being blessed with a very supportive, curious and intelligent community, and it’s only natural to let them know more about the upcoming Peeps platform!

Kei: How this project will change the perspective of people on Web3.0, which will be the key to mass adoption of crypto globally?
Peeps: The main takeaway that people will get from switching from Web 2.0 to Peeps, is that they can earn for their usage of the platform. Web3 will make it so easy for everybody to earn income based on their activity on the internet that using Web 2.0 website will simply not make sense anymore. Especially with all the scandals regarding censorship, data being sold and the political use of these platforms.
Wipeout: As a course creator, if we want to create private content or programs to sell within the platform is it doable, like closed memberships?
Peeps: Absolutely. You will be able to have a “membership feed” that will be closed to anyone that didn’t subscribe. One thing you may miss as a course creator would be the necessity to input your email address, but you can still use Peeps as a complement to a landing page, a substack, or any newsletter module. There will be many ways to do it, but the content of your programs, any number of programs, can be sold through the platform.
Kippa: What is Peeps’ main marketing strategy? What creators do you have in mind to get on board to be ambassadors for Peeps?
Peeps: Our marketing strategy goes on to multiple levels.
Since we’re very community-centric, our core strategy is to grow the community and engage it as much as possible. This is why we are about to launch our roles and affiliates program, to reward the active members of our Discord server.
Regarding creators, we already secured a few partnerships in Asia -Creators as well as brands- and are already discussing with other ones. We will roll out soon more information regarding the nature of how exactly influencers will benefit growing their community on the Peeps Platform.
We consider various marketing tactics, but we shall never forget our end goal, that is to grow a significant and engaged community, as well as onboarding diverse and quality Influencers. Once the platform is ready and the community as well as the Influencers start making significant earnings together, we are confident that the word will spread quickly, and we will ride the momentum at this moment.
Scene: How is Peeps different from other projects of its kind?
Peeps: We have overviewed a lot of other projects in the planning stages. We have seen lots of different approaches, features, marketing strategy, and technical choices.
At the same time, we had a lot of observations and discussions on Web2 social media, especially on its problems and lackings.
This helped us to design our idea in what we consider the best possible solution to existing problems. We’re not trying to do better than others, we’re trying to solve all the problems we noticed in the existing Creator Economy. This includes designing a relevant earning model for all participants and especially incentives, not only financial, to participate genuinely in creating quality content and endorsing it.
Neverplayedgta1: Can I still earn $PME in a “freemium” way?
Yes. Anyone can earn $PME from publishing. Even free content, as there will be possible to tip a Creator. Once you have a bag of $PME, you can already start NameStaking, staking on Creators, and be eligible for a piece of their $PME flow.
